Lifts NOW!
Rescue our foot tunnels!
Every day, more than 5,000 people use the Foot Tunnels. But the lifts are routinely out of order. IT'S TIME FOR TfL TO STEP IN!
Greenwich Council is responsible for maintaining them, but it does not have the resources, capacity or know-how.
This is why we are calling for the Mayor of London to transfer the operation of the Foot Tunnels to TfL ensuring reliable transport connections for all....

Campaign success!
Thanks to the tireless campaigning by the members of ESCALATE NOW and the support of over 3,500 signatories, Transport for London (TfL) has finally confirmed that the escalators at Cutty Sark DLR Station are BEING REPLACED!
Rest assured, ESCALATE NOW will continue to closely monitor the ongoing work and keep both visitors and residents updated on TfL’s progress.
As of December 2025, the Cutty Sark DLR Station will be re-opening in Spring 2026 and we will maintain pressure to ensure that TfL adheres to the agreed schedule.
