What people are saying...

I use the Cutty Sark DLR station frequently. I have witnessed dangerous overcrowding, fights breaking out and pushing. I am extremely concerned from a health and safety perspective. So much so I now travel to Greenwich DLR station and walk back. This situation cannot be allowed to continue!

Rachael, Greenwich resident

My daily commute is an absolute nightmare. I consider myself relatively fit, but walking up the 121 stairs with crowds of others is beyond a joke! When will TfL listen and fix the escalators?

Alexander, Greenwich resident and daily commuter

I visited Greenwich with my wife and two small children and had to carry my youngest child up the stairs while others pushed and shoved me from the back. The situation was dangerous and not a good welcome to Greenwich which is a lovely town with lots of history. Why have the escalators been out of service for so long???

Enough is enough!

Are you fed up of climbing the 121 stairs or cramming into one small lift?

TfL must urgently repair the escalators which have been out of service for years.

So, we need a little less conversation and a lot more action from TfL!

ESCALATE NOW!

The Cutty Sark DLR station escalators remain in disrepair and have done so for several years.

Transport for London (TfL) is responsible for maintaining its infrastructure in a way that serves all its commuters well. This is not the case due to the faulty escalators and the inconvenience their disrepair causes, which affects countless people, some of whom may have difficulty with stairs due to disabilities or other restrictions.

This problem jeopardises the reputation of the Royal Borough and TfL. Please sign this petition and urge TfL to fix the Cutty Sark DLR station escalators immediately.
